Our Story
The problem that started it all
In late 2025, we were exploring the capabilities of AI tools for various tasks. But we kept hitting the same wall: AI systems forgot everything.
Every conversation started from zero. Users had to repeat themselves. The AI couldn't learn from past interactions. It was like talking to someone with amnesia.
Existing solutions were either too slow (20+ second retrieval times), too complex (requiring weeks of integration), or too expensive (unpredictable usage-based pricing). Developers were duct-taping multiple services together just to give their AI agents basic memory.
We knew there had to be a better way. What if AI could help solve its own memory problem?
We started experimenting with AI-assisted development, using tools like Claude Code and Antigravity to design and build what traditional approaches couldn't deliver: a memory infrastructure that was both powerful and simple.
Weeks later, we had a working product. Not a prototype—a production-ready memory infrastructure achieving sub-200ms retrieval times with a four-method API.
BaseGrid was born from necessity, built by AI, for AI. Today, it's memory infrastructure for developers building the next generation of AI agents.
Built by AI, for AI
Here's what makes BaseGrid unique: this entire product—from design to code to deployment—was built using AI-assisted development. The API design, the database schema, the optimization algorithms, the frontend, even this website—all created through AI collaboration.
We leveraged Claude Code and Antigravity (Claude Sonnet 4.5 + Gemini 3 Pro) to turn an idea into production-grade infrastructure. BaseGrid is proof that AI is democratizing technology and enabling new approaches to software development.
